Rooms and Facilities


We have two guest rooms, each with a queen sized bed. The three-way bathroom is shared among guests. Additionally there is a separate lounge/sitting room for guests, complete with cosy open fireplace and french doors opening onto the front verandah - and that view.


"Eat 'n' Run" breakfast is included in the room fee and includes cereals, toast and home made spreads, fresh fruit, tea/coffee. Often this inlcudes home-made breads or brioche.

We always have "Eat 'n' Run" breakfast available. If you wish for a more elaborate breakfast or you have special dietary requirements please let us know at the time of booking. Our fresh eggs are so much better than any you can buy. We may make an extra charge for some cooked breakfasts.

Evening Meals

We have found many guests enjoy the extra relaxation of not having to go out again for dinner. Most nights we can provide a meal, though the more notice we have the better it is, and the more choices we can offer. Often we'll do two courses and sometimes three. The cost of these meals varies according to cost of ingredients and preparation time, but typically they are from $20 to $40 per person. If you have a special request or requirements for dinner, let us know when you book your room.

Our approach to food

We regard cooking and eating as great fun. As far as possible we grow our own vegetables, herbs and some fruit, or purchase local produce. Naturally some items have to come from further afield. Fran makes fresh cheese in the camembert, soft blue, fetta and ricotta styles (in very small quantities). She also bakes sour dough bread and Keith makes yeast based breads, danish pastry, brioche and other goodies. We make our own jams and jellies , mayonnaise, salad dressings, beef and chicken stocks etc. You get the idea.

We buy green coffee beans and roast them ourselves! (cyclists will like this) We only grind as needed to make your coffee as fresh as possible.
